Canadian Construction Investment Up in October
Canadian building construction investment in October rose 1.6% from September to $17.8 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending increased 1.4% from September to $12.9 billion, and non-residential totals expanded 2% in October to $4.9 billion. Single-family spending went up 0.6% from September to $7.0 billion and multi-unit levels grew 2.4% to $5.9 billion in October. See

U.S. Consumer Confidence Down in November
U.S. consumer confidence in November registered at 109.5, falling 2.1 points from October, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index, measuring current business and labor market conditions, dropped three points from October to 142.5. The short-term outlook for income, business and the labor market decreased 1.4 points in November to 87.6. See
