Roseburg to Close Dillard Particleboard Plant

Roseburg, Springfield, OR, announced the closing of its Dillard, OR particleboard plant. Roseburg will continue manufacturing particleboard in its Montana, Louisiana and Mississippi plants and plans to invest millions into new technology for its western manufacturing facilities. U.S. Home Sales Down Significantly from July 2020

U.S. sales of new single-family homes in July were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 708,000, up 1.0% from June but down 27.2% from the comparable month last year. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new homes for sale at the end of July was 367,000, representing a 6.2-month supply at the current sales rate.
